Question I am running multiple SQL Server instances and using <host-name>/<instance-name> in my jdbc url to connect. Why doesn't it work ?
Answer When using JTurbo to connect to a named instance of SQL Server, you cannot use the instance name in the jdbc url. Instead you must use a regular jdbc url and specify the port number of that instance. Here is the form:
jdbc:JTurbo://<hostname>:<port>/<databaseName>/sql70=true/sp=false
