Product ServletExec
Category JSP
Question When I request a JSP, the response I get mentions a FileNotFoundException what is wrong?
Answer For example, if you were running SE ISAPI and you had requested
http://localhost/hello.jsp
and the response looked something like:
ServletExec: caught exception - java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files\New Atlanta\ServletExec ISAPI\Servlets\pagecompile\_hello_xjsp.java (The system cannot find the path specified)
The problem is that after SE converted hello.jsp into a servlet named _hello.xjsp.java it was unable to write that .java file to the drive at the location specified in the stacktrace.
Make certain that ServletExec has read and write permission for the Servlets folder and also for the ServletExec Data folder (and all of its subfolders).
In the case of SE ISAPI, read SE FAQ #60, and perform the 8 steps given there.
