Product ServletExec
Category HTTP Connections
Question I'm running ServletExec with Microsoft IIS and it won't process more than 256 simultaneous connections. How can I increase this?
Answer By default, IIS limits the number of connections to 256, multiplied by the number of processors (therefore, a 2-CPU server will support 512 concurrent connections by default). You can increase this value by creating the following registry entry and setting it to a value greater than 256:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\InetInfo\Parameters\PoolThreadLimit

You should be careful about what value you set this to since increasing the number of threads will reduce the number of rejected requests but slow down overall performance of your web server software.
