Category Version differences
Question What is the difference between the JTurbo Trial Version, Evaluation Version, Development Version, and Deployment/Production Version?
Answer
  • The Trial version of JTurbo is what you download for free. When you run the JTurbo installer you type in the word "trial" as the license key. The installer then installs the trial version of JTurbo which is limited to 5 concurrent connections, and will timeout after 30 days.
  • The Evaluation version will still timeout after 30 days, but has no concurrent connection limitation. This makes the Evaluation version suitable for use in stress testing or "real load" evaluations prior to making a purchase decision. To install it, you would re-run the JTurbo installer that you downloaded for free only this time instead of typing the word "trial" as your license key, you would paste in an evaluation license key that you requested from sales@newatlanta.com.
  • The Development version of JTurbo never times out and has no concurrent connection limitation. It is licensed for use in development. To install it, you need only purchase a JTurbo development license key and then rerun the JTurbo installer this time pasting in the license key you purchased
  • The Deployment/Production version of JTurbo never times out and has no concurrent connection limitation. It is licensed for use in production. To install it, you need only purchase a JTurbo deployment license key and then rerun the JTurbo installer, this time pasting in the license key you purchased.
NOTE:
You can upgrade a trial or evaluation version to a development or deployment/production version at any time by purchasing a license. Please refer to the JTurbo Purchase page for pricing and licensing information.
