Question Is there a limit to the number of concurrent JDBC Driver Connections that SQL Server will accept ?
Answer We know of nothing that would limit the number of allowable connections to SQL Server, other than system resources, and any sort of configured limits in SQL Server.

java.sql.DatabaseMetaData.getMaxConnections()
will tell you the maximum number of concurrent connections you can have to your database. At the time this FAQ was written, the JTurbo implementation of that method returns 32767
This is per SQL Server 2000 Books Online "Administrator's Companion" Part 1, Chapter 1.
