Question Can BD.NET 6.2.1 run on 64-bit Windows?
Answer Yes it can but it must be run in 32-bit mode which hurts performance. Because of this we don't recommend running BD.NET on 64-bit Windows until Microsoft releases a 64-bit version of VJ#. Microsoft is planning to release a 64-bit version of VJ# with Windows Vista.

To run the 32-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 you must:

  1. Enable 32-bit mode using the following command:

    cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1

  2. Install the 32-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 into IIS using the following command:

    %SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

  3. Make sure the 32-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 is set to Allowed in the Web Service extension list of IIS.

To run the 64-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 you must:

  1. Disable 32-bit mode using the following command:

    cscript %SYSTEMDRIVE%\inetpub\adminscripts\adsutil.vbs SET W3SVC/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 0

  2. Install the 64-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 into IIS using the following command:

    %SYSTEMROOT%\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

  3. Make sure the 64-bit version of ASP.NET 2.0 is set to Allowed in the Web Service extension list of IIS.
