Question I've installed ServletExec/NSAPI with Netscape Enterprise Server (NES)/iPlanet on Windows NT, but it doesn't work. What can I do to verify my installation?
Answer Perform the following steps to verify your installation of ServletExec/NSAPI for NES/iPlanet on Windows NT:
  1. Verify that a valid JDK or JRE is installed on your machine. If not, then reinstall the JDK or JRE.

  2. Check the following registy entry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\New Atlanta Communications\ServletExec NSAPI\https-'server name'\Home (for SE 2.2, SE 3.0 and SE 3.1)

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unify\ServletExec NSAPI\https-'server name'\Home (for SE 3.0C and SE 3.0E)

and verify that it contains the correct path to the following directory:

    'installation directory'\https-'server name'

  3. If you had previously installed other servlet engines then verify they have been uninstalled. This includes any changes that were made to obj.conf for the other servlet engines.

  4. Launch VerifyObjConf.bat, which is located in the following directory:

    'installation directory'\https-'server name'

  5. Check the generated Verify.log file for error messages. If there are any then send them to support@servletexec.com.

  6. Stop the web server.

  7. Launch the DBMON application that is installed with ServletExec.

  8. Restart the web server. If error messages appear in the DBMON console, ServletExecNative.log or ServletExec.log then send them to support@servletexec.com. Note that you should at least see some ServletExec initialization messages. If you don't see any messages then use the Event Viewer to check for web server error events. If you find any then send the data to support@servletexec.com.

  9. Try the following URLs:

    /servlet/admin
    /servlet/DateServlet
    /servlet/TestServlet

  10. If these don't work then look for error messages in the DBMON console, ServletExecNative.log and ServletExec.log and send them to support@servletexec.com.
