JTurbo Driver Now "JDBC Certified"
JTurbo Type 4 JDBC Driver receives certification from Sun Microsystems
Alpharetta, Georgia - August 15, 2001 - New Atlanta Communications, LLC, a leading producer of Java-based web application deployment tools, announced today the successful certification of its JDBC driver for Microsoft SQL Server - JTurbo 2.0 Enterprise - to Sun Microsystems' JDBC Certified program. The certification, developed by Sun to ensure full operability with J2EE compatible products, is held by only a small number of Type 4 driver vendors and marks a significant milestone in New Atlanta's history.
"Obtaining the JDBC Certified designation is an important step for us," said Vince Bonfanti, President of New Atlanta Communications. "As a company providing Java web application deployment tools since 1997, our focus has always been to offer the most complete implementation of the Java specifications. JTurbo's JDBC certification is further proof of this commitment."
Compatibility Test Suite (CTS) version 2.12 was administered by Exodus Performance Labs, an independent testing center authorized by Sun to perform the JDBC certification test cases, using a Dell OptiPlex GX110 running Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 SP5. JTurbo 2.0 Enterprise was tested on the JVM 1.3 platform, using J2EE 1.2.1 and Microsoft SQL Server. All 2184 test cases passed without exception.
