JTurbo Now Certified for J2EE 1.3

JTurbo Driver Receives Updated Certification for Sun Microsystems

Alpharetta, Georgia - November 20, 2002 - JTurbo JDBC Driver for Microsoft SQL Server is now certified for J2EE 1.3. With this Sun Microsystems® standards-based certification, JTurbo delivers up-to-date compliance and reliability to its customers. JTurbo, New Atlanta's Type 4 driver for SQL 6.5, 7.0 and 2000, is available for download from the New Atlanta website: www.newatlanta.com/jturbo.

The Sun Microsystems product certification testing was performed by KeyLabs, (Lab Acquisition Corp), an independent testing center authorized by Sun to perform the JDBC certification test cases. JTurbo 3.0 was tested for compliance on Sun Ultra 10 using Solaris 8, CDE 1.4 and Solaris 8 with Recommended Cluster Patches. Tools used by KeyLabs during the certification testing process include: Java Platform tested against JDK 1.4, J2EE 1.3.1, and JavaTest 2.1.5.

Designed for optimal performance and scalability, JTurbo supports platforms including Windows NT/95/98/ME/2000, UNIX, Linux, and Mac. As a 100% Java product, JTurbo can run on any standard Java platform without the addition of software from the DBMS vendor. The JTurbo product family offers versions that support not only JDBC 3.0 for Windows and Unix, but also for JDBC 1.2 and 2.1 releases.

JTurbo is among New Atlanta's server-side Java products. Other New Atlanta products are include ServletExec, a Java-based web application server that implements the Java Servlet API and JavaServer Pages (JSP) standards and BlueDragon, the newest release of its Java-based product family for deploying ColdFusion® Markup Language (CFML) web applications onto standard Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE™) platforms.
