Releases offer expanded Web Server, Java VM and Java IDE support
Alpharetta, Georgia - January 29, 2001 - New Atlanta Communications, LLC is pleased to announce the immediate availability of ServletExecTM 3.1, a free upgrade to its award-winning Java ServletTM and JavaServer PagesTM (JSP) engine, and the ServletExec Debugger 3.1, a tool for developing and debugging servlets within popular Java IDEs.
ServletExec 3.1 allows you to deploy portable, standards-based web applications on all major web servers, including Microsoft IIS, Netscape/iPlanet, and Apache. ServletExec 3.1 is supported on all major operating systems, including Windows NT/2000, Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, and AIX. ServletExec 3.1 has expanded web server support to iPlanet Web Server 4.1 and Apache 1.3.14 on Windows, and Java VM support to IBM JDK/JRE 1.3.
The ServletExec Debugger 3.1 is a basic java web server with the full ServletExec servlet/JSP engine built-in. The ServletExec Debugger allows servlets to be developed and debugged in an environment that very closely simulates the ServletExec deployment environment. The ServletExec Debugger integrates with the following popular Java development environments:
- Borland JBuilder 3, 3.5 & 4.0 Foundation (Windows)
- Metrowerks CodeWarrior Pro 5 & 6 (Windows)
- IBM Visual Age 3.5 for Java 2 (Windows, AIX)
- WebGain VisualCafé 3.0, 4.0 & 4.1 Standard (Windows)
- Sun Forte 2.0 Community Edition (Windows)
Servlets developed with the ServletExec Debugger can be put into production by simply copying the servlet class file(s) and ServletExec configuration files to a deployment server.
