ServletExec 4.1 Released

Release offers support for latest Java specifications

Alpharetta, Georgia - September 17, 2001 - New Atlanta Communications, LLC is pleased to announce the immediate availability of ServletExecTM 4.1, a free upgrade to its award-winning Java ServletTM and JavaServer PagesTM (JSP) engine. ServletExec 4.1 implements the finalized versions of the Java Servlet 2.3 and JSP 1.2 specifications released today by Sun Microsystems.

ServletExec is an easy-to-use Java Servlet/JSP engine for developing, testing and deploying web-based applications, allowing companies to leverage existing IT infrastructure to provide dynamic, real-time access to corporate data by customers, employees, partners and suppliers through server-side functionality and seamless integration with backend systems.

ServletExec 4.1 allows you to deploy portable, standards-based web applications on all major web servers, including Microsoft IIS, Netscape/iPlanet, and Apache. ServletExec 4.1 is supported on all major operating systems, including Windows NT/2000, SPARC Solaris, Linux and AIX.

The ServletExec Debugger 4.1, a free development and debugging environment, will be released later this week. The ServletExec Debugger is a basic Java web server with the full ServletExec servlet/JSP engine built-in. The ServletExec Debugger allows servlets to be developed and debugged in an environment that very closely simulates the ServletExec deployment environment.

Pricing and Availability

ServletExec 4.1 is available for immediate download at: www.newatlanta.com. Use of ServletExec is free for development and testing purposes. Deployment pricing is unchanged from version 4.0 and begins at $695 for a single CPU machine with unlimited clients.

Licensed customers of ServletExec 4.0 may upgrade to version 4.1 free of charge by downloading version 4.1 and reusing the 4.0 license key.
