Question How can I access SQL Server from UNIX, Macintosh and LINUX platforms using JTurbo?
Answer Microsoft SQL Server runs only on Windows NT/2000, with no support for other platforms. JTurbo solves the problem of accessing MS SQL Server from any machine and any platform. If you are able to ping the NT machine from the UNIX, Macintosh or LINUX machine, then you can use JTurbo to connect to the SQL Server running on the NT Machine. All that is needed is to configure the URL passed to DriverManger.getConnection() to point to the NT Machine and the port on which SQL Server is listening.
